About this Book: |
|
Taking flight. It's every child's dream. And for Scott Westerman, it became a reality as he learned to spread his wings over the prairie Midwest.
Here are the ups and downs, the highs and lows of one man's pursuit of a pilots license. We meet the people, the planes and the places where life is defined in three dimensions and adventurers "slip the surly bonds of earth" to touch the sky.

About the Author: |
|
Scott Westerman has been a licensed private pilot for more than 20 years.
He doesn't fly much now, “If you don't fly regularly, you shouldn't fly at all,” he says.
As the time has passed, his interests evolved to more earthly pursuits. He's launched an overseas radio network, a record company and a string of Internet enterprises. He's also continued his cable television career and currently manages a portfolio of systems in New Mexico and Arizona.
He still stops what he's doing and looks up whenever he hears a single engine aircraft overhead.

Book Review: |
|
Touch and Go is a breezy memoir of Scott Westerman's quest for a private pilots license. You'll feel like you're sitting beside him at every twist and turn from his first solo, to a gripping final flight test in the turbulent skies over his Illinois home. A well constructed first book from a writer who is clearly passionate about his subject
