Burials there also include military veterans, Medal of Honor recipients, early Great Lakes ship captains, police and fire chiefs, mayors, and ordinary citizens who performed extraordinary things behind the scenes. Becky Visser and Gary L.Franks are local historians and long-time residents of Perrysburg, Ohio, a Toledo suburb. Both are active in many local and state historic organizations and have served on their boards of directors. They are founding members of the Perrysburg Area Historic Museum. Becky has authored a book about the history of Toledo's Woodlawn Cemetery; d Gary has authored five other local history books about Perrysburg.
