Annie's Journey Home is an inspirational book of encouragement and hope for anyone going through a difficult time. It is the story of my Mom's life and her courageous battle with cancer. She was diagnosed with cancer in April 1977 and lived for eight months. I was her caregiver and kept a diary. That diary had been tucked away in a drawer for thirty years. I always knew that one day, in God's timing, I would write a memorial to her. The right time was this year. In January, I re-read the diary which I had not read in thirty years. The memorial became a reality. It begins with her marriage to my Dad, December 23, 1933 and ends with her death on her forty-fourth wedding anniversary, December 23, 1977. It has seven chapters divided into two parts. I has 108 pages. Each main chapter is followed by memories contributed by her children, grandchildren, neices, and nephews. She loved God and her family. She worked hard, long hours in the fields, yet never complained. She had a true servant's heart. Her selflessness was apparent each day of her life. Even during the agonizing months dealing with cancer, I never heard her complain. She was always concerned about others.
