About this Book: |
|
At the tender age of 84, he became convinced that part of his legacy should include telling his story. His story highlights people, places and events that shaped his life --a story that spans the Great Depression, World War II, the volatile years of the 1960s and 1970s, the election of President Barack Obama and, in 2008/9, the greatest economic downturn since the Great Depression. He felt that succeeding generations would benefit from the experience of one who had lived on the “colored side of the tracks” and then embraced the world around him.
