About this Book: |
|
If you meet Faison at this well of profound poetry, you'll be glad you stopped to take a sip. Immaculate Perceptions is a collection of 100 poems reflecting on life. This book explores the experience of dealing with the trials, tribulations, joys and hopes of everyday life. Faison writes poetically on her forefathers and mothers of writing and about love, marriage, religion, and socioeconomic themes throughout the book. Her passion for dealing with people is evident in each poem. Readers will find her tone inspirational and the voice of each poem liberating and refreshing. Many things will be revealed in this book: the plight of an individual, the intertwined reality of being not only black and female, but simply human. This is a must read for every poetry reader! This book should have been titled 100 Poems on the Plight of Life!
