About this Book: |
|
The goal of Solving the Guitar Puzzle is to teach the student how to perform in any setting. We start by creating a solid foundation with basic music notation, intervals, and chord construction, plus scales and modes within key signatures.
As teachers, we want our students to be versatile. Solving the Guitar Puzzle explains the chord patterns found in most songs, how to expand chord choices when comping, and how to solo over any song. Solving the Guitar Puzzle ends with lessons on how to build more melodic solos.

Book Review: |
|
“I have used many guitar method books, but this is the first book I have ever read that is actually a “tool“… I love how it breaks down how to practice properly and what you as a player should work on. I also love the fact that it simplifies jazz technique, which other books have not managed to do.”
“The content is clear, straightforward, and sequential. I really like the practice suggestions and the encouragement to continue building to achieve your goals.”
“You go into detail to explain the importance of muscle memory and the vital role it plays in learning any instrument. I loved the explanation of how to gradually reach that level of proficiency. I have often related this to my students as well.”
