Tom Cursion is a thirty-two year old charismatic catholic priest shepherding a small inner city parish on the East side of Detroit. In his exuberant preaching style one Sunday morning, he relays a harrowing episode during the week in which he almost killed a woman with his car. It causes him confusion and grief as he struggles to identify and help her. During the same liturgy a stranger denounces her as a prostitute from the local red-light district known as Tenth Street. Within time, a couple of Prophecies are given through the movement of the Spirit, in which a special collection is taken and determined to be used to evangelize this morally decayed district which lies just a few blocks from St. Mark's.
Almost four hundred and fifty dollars are immediately placed on the altar. A plan, as well as volunteers, evolve through discernment. Three men will buy time from three prostitutes on Tenth Street, and attempt to convince them of their self-worth to turn their lives around.
The story revolves around this radical idea, the three different approaches, and how their lives as well as others are changed in the process.
