About this Book: |
|
Ancient Maya civilization is world famous for its majestic pyramids, sculpture and impressive knowledge of astronomy and mathematics. Some say the Maya vanished, but with more than six million Maya people living in southern Mexico and Central America, Maya culture and heritage is still very much alive.
Regional versions of this coloring book were used to teach children in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras about their ancestry, their cultural identity and conservation of their cultural heritage, with the idea that learning about the Maya past will help to save it for the future.
