The Power of Laughter
Laughter gives us the opportunity to look at things from a different perspective.
No matter how difficult things are you can always count on laughter to help you get through stressful times.
It was 1975 and lucky me, I got to wear a body cast for nine months.
I was a freshman in high school at the time.
The first day of school I walked into the corridor very nervous and anxious. Carefully I wobbled over to my locker, slipped on a piece of paper, hit the floor and knocked myself out.
The other kids stepped over me to get to their lockers, and no, I’m not kidding.
I thought to myself: “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”
Eventually, the Home Economics teacher who was closing her door came out to find me lying in the hall laughing to myself. I was reading my schedule that I had reached with an outstretched arm. She asked me what I was doing lying there on the floor. I told her: “Waiting for you to make me some chicken!”
