About this Book:

We are living in an age where the covenant of marriage is under relentless attack. Divorce is rampant, adultery and fornication are becoming all too common, and what was considered to be a dysfunctional family thirty years ago is now considered perfectly normal. BUT GOD... The marriage covenant was intended by God to be the physical demonstration, and the earthly testimony of the Salvation covenant we have through Jesus Christ. I do not know of any previous time in history where the Kingdom of God needs to be demonstrated on the earth more than it does today. One of the greatest ways God chooses to express His love for a dying world is through the marriage covenant. It is my hope that the Lord will use this book to give you a renewed vision for your marriage, your family, and most importantly for the greatest relationship of all, the one with your God!

About the Author:

The author, Glenn Connors, has been joyfully married for twenty-five years to his wife and best friend, Maureen Connors. Their marriage has become a Godly example of the principles of a Christ-centered marriage at work. Together they are raising seven children and serve on the Pastoral Staff at New Life Christian Center where they have attended for the last twenty-two years. Glenn and his wife use THE PARALLEL COVENANT as an aide for the marriage counseling that they do in the church.

Book Review:

This book is divided into three main sections. Section one teaches the reader about covenants both on a Biblical standpoint as well as modern day applications. Section two deals with the complexities of proper communication both within the marriage covenant as well as communicating with our God. Section three is all about relationships, family, marriage, and most importantly the greatest relationship of all, the one with the Lord Jesus Christ. Some of the chapter titles are: Marriage Fact or Fiction, Ouch… That hurts, I can’t believe you said that, Gifts from the Heart, The Power of Prayer, Please forgive me I know not what I do, Can we be Friends, Renewing the Covenant, and The Pearl of Great Price. Also each section is followed up by practical applications for couples to use to better their relationships.
