About this Book:

Though she was made famous by Pulitzer-Prize winning novelist and distant relative Louis Bromfield, it was simply the life she led that would ultimately create a legend of Phoebe Wise. Her life seemed surreal and her stories are what fiction is made of. Yet, her life was anything but fiction.

About the Author:

Brett Mitchell is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where he received a Bachelors of Science in History. Since his return to Ohio, Mitchell has sought to reveal the truth behind the most daunting and eccentric characters of the Midwest. His past projects have included establishing the digital archives of the 64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Today, Brett serves on the interpretive staff at Malabar Farm State Park in Lucas, Ohio, home of Pulitzer-Prize wining author and conservationist Louis Bromfield.
