Bobbye’s poetry and devotions reflect her life experiences and her deeply held faith in her Savior. Two of her poems, “A Very Special Place” and “Song of Surrender”, have become Christian songs, composed and recorded by Laura Davis.
Believing that “A cheerful heart is good medicine…” (Proverbs 17:22), Bobbye has sprinkled some light-hearted poems among her more serious ones. In the poem, “Senior Moments”, she encourages her aging readers to laugh at the physical changes that occur with advancing years.
In the devotional thought, “Simon Peter–God’s Man”, Bobbye traces the Apostle Peter’s transformation from special friend of Jesus to God-directed leader of the early Church. “Martha in a Mary World” contrasts the actions of Martha and Mary during a visit to their home by Jesus and His disciples.
Bobbye says that her desire is that her book would honor her Savior and encourage others in their faith.
